This week, Money Index was nominated by Rob Carrick as one of Canada’s best investing sites. While more of a directory than a blog, it’s an honour to have Rob appreciate the way Money Index brings over 200 blogs and news sites together in one place. While Money Index is all about promoting all the great sites out there, this time we need your help with some promotion. Please head over to The Globe and Mail site and vote for Money Index!

While Money Index might be my one entry into the competition, there were many great sites nominated. And to show you most of them, every site in this edition of Friday Links was nominated for the personal finance and investing polls!

  1. Canadian Capitalist gives us just the rules we need to know with an RESP primer.
  2. Retire Happy Blog wants to know, what is your retirement price tag?
  3. Gail Vaz-Oxlade suggests 7 ways to avoid debt hell.
  4. Sustainable Personal Finance lists 16 driving tips to improve gas mileage.
  5. Boomer & Echo wants you to try organic food gardening.
  6. Michael James on Money untangles some contradictory investing advice.
  7. Canadian Couch Potato helps you with finding the right advisor.
  8. Money Smarts discusses RESP withdrawals from family plan account.
  9. Give Me Back My Five Bucks tells us why she won't buy an e-reader.
  10. Canajun Finances recaps the political fun in Canada.
