| US Mortgage Rates Decrease Along With Mortgage Applications Posted: 05 Jul 2013 08:10 AM PDT This week mortgage applications decreased 11.7% compared to last week while mortgage rates have finally begun decreasing after reaching their highest levels since 2011. According to Freddie Mac, 30-year fixed-rate mortgages have decreased from 4.46% last week to 4.29% this week, although this is still one of the highest rates we've seen in the past two years. 15-year fixed-rate mortgages also decreased this week to 3.39% compared to 3.5% a week earlier.
