Peter Clarke: Wind Blowing on the Cape Flats

Peter Clarke is recognised as 'the quiet chronicler of South Africa'. Over 60 years, from apartheid through to the 'new' South Africa, his prolific creativity as a painter, printmaker, writer and poet is inspired by South Africa's recent social and political history. In this exhibition, 80 works chart his development as a largely self-taught artist who is part of a lost generation, a voice that has been largely unheard in Europe.
