Hot Option Plays: Taking A Bite Out Of Apple Midday

Cusick’s Corner 12-04-2012 Midday
Sellers have gained some momentum this Midday, with equities challenging critical support, 1400 on the SPX. Now I have previously noted in the Corner that the Euro Currency, FXE, has been holding up especially against a falling Dollar, UUP, which is holding up US equities and actually catalyzing the EU markets. The “Fiscal Cliff” talk could also be a catalyst for the EU markets at this stage as well. Tech, NDX, is under pressure into the noon hour, while Apple, … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

Coffee Woes To Continue?

Posted: 04 Dec 2012 09:18 AM PST

Tuesday, December 4, 2012
The Coffee market remains one of the more oversupplied commodity markets. After several years of shortages, the trend has certainly reversed for the soft commodity markets. Brazil is expected to produce 50.8 million bags of Coffee beans during the 2013 low crop season. Short-term, we have seen many producers selling heavily, which could continue for the foreseeable future. If growing conditions deteriorate, Coffee likely does have the possibility of stabilizing. … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

MF Global: Spreading The Blame Around

Posted: 04 Dec 2012 06:46 AM PST

I have tarred and feathered Jon Corzine sufficiently over the course of the last year for the debacle that unfolded on his watch at MF Global.
On that note, I welcome reading this morning that some tar and feathers are being applied to others who should have been in a position to stop the excessive leverage which brought down the MF Global house.
Who were these other individuals and entities? Let's navigate as The Hill addresses a topic which many in Washington and on Wall Street would like … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

Canada Holds Rate Steady, Maintains Tightening Bias

Posted: 04 Dec 2012 06:12 AM PST

The Bank of Canada (BOC) held the target for its overnight rate unchanged at 1.0 percent, as expected, and maintained its tightening bias, saying that it will have to raise interest rates at some point to ensure that inflation does not exceed its target.
“Over time, some modest withdrawal of monetary policy stimulus will likely be required, consistent with achieving the 2 percent inflation target. The timing and degree of any such withdrawal will be weighed carefully … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

Posted: 04 Dec 2012 05:58 AM PST

Uganda’s central bank cut its Central Bank Rate (CBR) by 50 basis points to 12.0 percent as subdued inflationary pressure allows the bank to stimulate economic growth.
The Bank of Uganda, which has now cut its policy rate by 1100 basis points this year, said headline inflation “rose only marginally” in November and the bank forecasts that core inflation will stabilize around its medium-term policy target of 5.0 percent over the next 12 months as inflationary … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards
