Let’s Revisit: Will Uncle Sam Takeover Your IRA? Part II

Posted: 29 Nov 2012 11:53 AM PST

With so much attention on the fiscal cliff and how Congress might address the issues surrounding our deficit, this commentary from this past April is going absolutely viral throughout the blogosphere today. I welcome reposting it. LD

Those engaged in massive strategic maneuvers know all too well that progress is typically made not in one fell swoop but painstakingly inch by inch.
With deficits beyond the scope of imagination but oh so very real, I cautioned people to keep a watchful eye on … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Best Mortgage Rates, Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

I'm a big fan of observing EMA Compression set-ups on the charts and Apple (AAPL) is forming a clean pattern on the daily chart that may be worth your attention.
Let's take a look at the daily chart key levels – and EMAs – to watch and then study the recent arc pattern and intraday divergences at work.

Let's first focus on the Daily Moving Averages and how they can be helpful in planning trading strategies in AAPL.

Hot Option Plays: More Rhetoric From The Hill Midday

Posted: 29 Nov 2012 11:17 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner 11-29-2012
As I noted yesterday, the headlines from Capitol Hill continue to be chopping the market into the Midday with Speaker Boehner coming out with what was perceived as negative comments. I think that this contention is going to continue for some time so that will dictate a lot of how one might trade this market — small and disciplined. The early morning rally was impressive but was getting to a level of pressure, ~1420 on the S&Ps, after an impressive run the last 4 … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Best Mortgage Rates, Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

Posted: 29 Nov 2012 11:13 AM PST

The second estimate of third quarter real GDP growth rate was 2.7 percent, up from 2.0 percent in the initial estimate. On the surface, that is a substantial improvement, but a look at the components makes it less so. In fact, the entire increase was accounted for by an increase of 0.77 percent in inventories, which are often hard to interpret. Inventory increases are desirable if businesses are responding to stronger demand, but undesirable if they reflect unanticipated slumping sales. In the … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Best Mortgage Rates, Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards

More Choppiness Ahead For Crude?

Posted: 29 Nov 2012 09:18 AM PST

Thursday, November 29, 2012
With the cease-fire in Gaza holding up for the time being and the market well supplied, Crude Oil has been trading based on outside markets. Yesterday’s EIA figures offered little market noise for some traders, but, bigger picture, the market is extremely well supplied. The Fiscal Cliff talks between legislators could have a much more meaningful impact on the Oil market than API and EIA data. Technically, the chart and other indicators hint at further choppy trading. … [visit DailyMarkets.com to read more] or compare Best Mortgage Rates, Credit Card Rewards or Best Credit Cards
