The market still has not deviated from the course that it had since the morning. Some sectors that were picking up action on the upside were Home Builders, Semis and Energy. The downside was dominated by “sin stocks” [[casinos]] and yield plays like Utilities. I expect this action to continue into tomorrow, with the S&Ps staying in a range of 1408-1426. InterDigital, Inc. (NASDAQ:IDCC) continues to impress to the upside. The stock posted a 3.19% gain today on decent volume. It’s still on my buy list and hold list from $28, and I remain bullish on these shares. If the money continues to flow into this stock, you could expect more gains. Looking at recent trading action there is not any heavy selling to note, which makes me totally confident that this stock is poised to make a nice move higher. With Election Day Tuesday and the market at a pivot point that determines how we play the next swing, I thought it would be a good opportunity to look at the outcome going toward December of the past three US Presidential Elections.

The range continues, 1400-1425 on the S&Ps, and this action might continue into tomorrow until there is a victor announced in the election. As I noted last week, the Small Caps, RUT/IWM, could be a decent tell going into tomorrow and post election of where the next move could be going. The Small Caps have been under pressure along with their Large Cap brethren, but this has been a much more muted pullback.
