US 15-Year Mortgage Rates Reach New Record-Low

Despite the increase of all US mortgage rates last week, this week 15-year mortgage rates have decreased 0.04%, reaching a new record-low mortgage rate that hasn’t been seen in over 40 years.

Although some US mortgage rates are slowly increasing, according to Freddie Mac, all mortgage rates continue to be very low this week, with all of them still among the lowest rates that have been seen in almost half a century.

Greg Smith created quite a splash last spring when he announced his resignation from Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) in an op-ed piece in The New York Times. That bit of sensationalism created quite a stir on Wall Street but what are we to expect in a day and age when an industry has provided plenty of reasons to be vilified and an insider feeds the fish.
