Cusick’s Corner 07-18-2012
The market continues to chug along and on the earnings front there have been some decent financial stocks beating estimates. Financials are one of those leading sectors that need to continue to lead but today this sector is lagging, XLF -14%, which is probably not what a bull wants to see. These are flags that stop me from chasing until I get confirmation that a move to the upside might look … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Bears Going Hog Wild!

Wednesday, July 18, 2012
Lean Hog futures continue to see price pressures, as weak pork demand and high feed costs are hurting both production and packer profit margins. Increasing discounts in deferred futures to the CME 2-day Lean Hog Index may spur some buying interest by bargain hunters, lending some support if prices continue to fall.

My most recent missive discussed some of the nuances of the options Greek, Delta which deals with the change in option price with regard to changes in price of the underlying. Today I would like to examine some of the practical details surrounding the second of the primal forces describing the behavior of options with regard to the passage of time. This second Greek is Theta.
As opposed to the value of a stock position which varies only in relation to changes in price, options are subject to … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

My Experience With Bain

Posted: 18 Jul 2012 06:07 AM PDT

Bain Capital.
I can not recall in my lifetime as much attention being paid to a private company during a Presidential campaign as that paid to Bain Capital this year.
While I could write more on the scandalous activity surrounding Libor or money laundering activity emanating from HSBC, I digress today to address my experience with Bain. Interestingly enough, my experience did not occur during my days on Wall Street. Bain Capital did not have any business within the market segments that I … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards
