As a follow-up to the post below on Milton Friedman’s Mayo Clinic talk on the “economics of medical care,” I present the two charts above.  

The top chart shows the number of annual graduates from U.S. medical schools (AMA data here) per 100,000 U.S. population, from 1962 to 2011. Polish Central Bank Keeps Rate At 4.75% As Expected

    The National Bank of Poland kept its interest rates steady with inflation likely to increase in coming months but the central bank added that it may adjust rates if the outlook for inflation changes. 
    The Polish central bank noted the weakening global economy and said this would contribute to falling commodity and energy prices and this would be “conducive to the decline in global inflation.”

Every day is a great day to be an American but no day more so than the 4th of July.
Memories of fireworks, family outings, barbecues, ice cream, and baseball are truly special. Today's activities will be tomorrow's memories of national pride for our youth.

Barclays Libor Scandal: When Did Manipulation Start?

Discretion would typically dictate my writing about our nation's declaration of independence today.
