Hot Option Plays: Choppy

Cusick’s Corner 05-24-2012
The market is choppy — Equities and Bonds are down small, and commodities did firm up. I didn’t see the pressure on the metals overnight which resulted in some more confidence into the open. The muted reaction to the mixed data this morning just leads me to believe that the market is monitoring headlines and is comfortable with chopping at this stage. See you After Hours.

Risk, Reward Balance Hess

Posted: 24 May 2012 11:08 AM PDT

We have maintained our Neutral recommendation on Hess Corporation (NYSE:HES) given its poor first quarter results, which remains equally balanced by its exploration operations.
The New York-based integrated energy company's first quarter underperformance was mainly due to the lackluster production volume, which registered a downfall from the year-ago level. Moreover, Hess sees its Bakken production to be below the current expectation of 60 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (MBoe/d) for … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards
