The ‘Comeback’ Of RFM Corporation?

Posted: 09 Apr 2012 02:52 AM PDT

Happy Easter everyone! I hope all of you have enjoyed this much-needed vacation. Anyway, let's go back to regular programming with my take on RFM Corporation.
Concepcion-led RFM Corporation has been under the radar for the last several years. To make the story short, the performance of its shares has been a major disappointment to its investors as it consistently underperformed the PSEi. Recently, however, has gained some fans as it rose from Php1.19/share to start the year to Php2.13/share … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Momentum Stock: Red Robin Gourmet Burgers

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers (RRGB)

I have dined at a couple Red Robins in my day and had no idea they were a public company until about a week ago.  You'd think after ranking as the #1 Best Burger (chain stores) 3 years in a row from Zagat; they would be on my radar being that I'm a connoisseur of fine ground beef in a bun and a stock junkie.
After listening to their commercial about 20 times I had their chime in my head, but it was a random trip out to Garland Texas that … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Bear Of The Day: Leggett & Platt, Inc. (LEG)

Posted: 08 Apr 2012 11:05 PM PDT

Leggett & Platt, Inc.’s (NYSE:LEG) fourth-quarter 2011 earnings of $0.22 per share were up from the prior-period level, but we believe it was inorganic growth primarily spurred by the company’s share buyback program. Moreover, during the quarter, Leggett’s gross margin contracted 90 basis points to 16.7% due to higher input costs.
Further, the company’s operating margin shriveled 470 basis points to 1.5% due to increased selling and administrative expenses. we believe that intense competition … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

LGL Group Fourth Quarter 2011 Results

Posted: 08 Apr 2012 10:30 PM PDT

Fourth quarter revenue was below our forecast with both segments showing continued weakness. Operating margins declined but less so than prior periods when revenue dropped. Backlog was down but showed encouraging signs as the sequential quarterly change was less than the second to third quarterly change.

The decrease in revenue over the last six months was due to reduced order activity for both segments. The decline in gross margins were … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards
