PPL Corporation's (NYSE:PPL) fourth quarter earnings of 70 cents per share were 8 cents higher than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 62 cents but fell short of the year-ago results of 83 cents.

Brazil’s state-run energy giant Petroleo Brasileiro S.A., or Petrobras (NYSE:PBR) announced its fourth quarter earnings of R$5.0 billion or R$0.39 per share, compared with R$10.6 billion or R$1.07 in the year-earlier quarter.
