This morning (2/3/12) OptimizeRx (OPRX) released an abbreviated operational update.  Included was that Q4 2011 results should show a profit – which will be the company's first quarter in the black.  It will also be an upside surprise relative to our estimated ~$400k loss for Q4.  We will update our model when the company releases Q4 results.

Snap-On Beats Estimates

Snap-On Incorporated (SNA) reported revenues of $736.6 million for the fourth quarter of 2011, up 5.7% from the 2010 levels. Excluding $1.5 million of favorable foreign currency translation, organic revenues increased 5.9%.
Net earnings of $74.3 million or $1.27 per diluted share increased from $57.9 million or 99 cents per diluted share a year ago. This was above $1.17 as per the Zacks Consensus Estimate.

Alkermes plc (NASDAQ:ALKS) reported earnings of 1 cent per share (excluding merger related costs and amortization of acquired intangible assets) in the third quarter of fiscal 2012 (ending March 31, 2012). The Zacks Consensus loss estimate hinted at a loss of 21 cents per share.

Wynn Resorts Tops On Strong Growth

The world’s third-largest casino operator in terms of revenue, Wynn Resorts Ltd. (NASDAQ:WYNN) reported fourth quarter 2011 adjusted earnings of $1.55 per share, breezing past the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.26 and the prior-year quarter earnings of 91 cents. On a GAAP basis, earnings per share was $1.52 versus 91 cents in the comparable quarter last year.
Net revenue climbed 8.6% year over year to $1,343.9 million, driven by solid business in Macau and Las Vegas.

Forex Trading: USDCHF Tests Topside Trendline.

The USDCHF moved above trendline resistance at the 0.9226 level but come off. This trendline is from the high on Jan 20 connecting to the high on Jan 25th. The price previously moved above 38.2% of the same move down at the 0.92139.  Traders will be watching this level for bullish clues. Macro-economic headwinds, regulatory issues and lower students' enrollment continue to weigh upon Universal Technical Institute Inc.
