Forex Trading: USDSGD Revisited

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 05:18 PM PST

Reviewing the USDSGD chart we presented a few sessions ago, the pair has broken above the trending 21day moving average and is poised to continue higher as long as the early 2012 risk on sentiment continues to wane. Hot Option Plays: Could This Close Be Healthy?

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 03:19 PM PST

Cusick’s Corner 02-15-2012
I have been talking more and more about correlated assets and how some highly correlated assets are starting to diverge. I have been watching the Japanese markets running to the upside and I looked at the bond yields, specifically the 10 yr, and they have been moving together until now. If the Japanese markets continue to run and the correlation is still valid, 10 yr yields should be bouncing and that would be a potential catalyst for the bulls. With Tech, QQQ, … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ:DNDN) has held up better than the other stocks and bounced off the key support line of $13.85 with expanding volume. Short-term investors can hold the stock as long as it trades above this support. If the stock  can break through Wednesday's high of $15.50, we should see a strong follow through move. Keep watching DNDN for a bigger move soon.

Anybody Left To Buy (Technology Stocks)?

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 01:57 PM PST

While at least some market-watchers will view today’s key reversal (on extremely heavy volume) in technology bellwether Apple as a potential turning point for the sector, which has been on an incredible tear in recent weeks, there’s no shortage of data suggesting that enthusiasm for the group has reached historically untenable extremes.
For example, based on figures derived from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s weekly Commitments of Traders report, traders categorized as … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

BioMarin Lowered To Underperform

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 01:51 PM PST

We have recently downgraded BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. (NASDAQ:BMRN) to Underperform from Neutral with a target price of $35.00.
Our decision is based on valuation grounds as we believe that the stock is overvalued at current levels. Fed OK’s Capital One-ING Direct Deal

It's a 'YES' for Capital One Financial Corporation's (NYSE:COF) plan to acquire ING Direct USA, the online banking unit of Amsterdam-based ING Groep NV (NYSE:ING). On Tuesday, the Federal Reserve finally approved the deal. The consent removes the doubt that the acquisition would create the next 'too-big-to fail' banking institution.

Applied Materials, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) is scheduled to announce its fiscal first-quarter 2012 results on February 16, 2012. We witness only one upward movement in analyst estimates in the build-up to the release.
Prior-Quarter Synopsis

Hot Option Plays: Even With A Huff And A Puff – Market Not Down Much

Posted: 15 Feb 2012 12:18 PM PST

Cusick’s Corner 02-15-2012
I have talked about this type of market in the past where the risk in the upside, or more specifically with missing the upside, is the risk. While yields in bonds are still not moving and are up pricewise, the S&Ps were able to break 1350. If this can hold into the close then this could keep the strength in the bid. I do not want to see a close below 1350 at the end of day because this may put into further question the current upside. We reiterate our Neutral recommendation on Genomic Health (NASDAQ:GHDX) following its fourth-quarter 2011 results though the performance missed the Zacks Consensus Estimates on both fronts – revenue and earnings.
