Forex Trading: EURUSD Breaks To The Downside

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 06:22 AM PST

The action in the EURUSD has been very up and down for most of the trading day. The price peaked when the better PMI data was released.  The choppiness has converged the 100 and 200 bar MA. The last peak before the recent fall to new day lows held those moving averages (see blue and green lines in the chart above).  The bias is to the downside on the back of the recent move. Traders will not want to see the price move above the 100 and 200 bar MAs. Staying below the 1.2990 level … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Forex Trading: USDCAD Finds Sellers On First Test Of 38.2% Retracement Level

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 06:22 AM PST

The USDCAD has moved above the 100 hour MA and moved to test the 38.2% at the 1.0140 level. The 200 hour MA is also in the area at the 1.0145 level.  Traders have used the levels to lean against and take some profits from the sharp move higher. A break above the key levels will likely trigger stops and additional buying.
ON the downside, the 1.0119 level will be eyed as channel support.  Below that 1.0114 is the 38.2% of the trend move higher. If the trend higher has good trader … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 06:19 AM PST

With nothing major on the domestic economic calendar, headlines about Greece's as-yet unsuccessful negotiations with its bondholders to restructure its private debt may get some traction. But today's market action will be mostly about the slew of mixed earnings reports from a “who's who” of corporate America. We also have President Obama's State of the Union address later this evening.

We have 5 Dow components reporting results this morning, of which three came out with positive … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Two Timeframe Chart Structure Watch On Amazon AMZN

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 05:44 AM PST

Amazon's (AMZN) chart structure is creating an interesting breaking point of tension between the higher and lower timeframes.
While the daily chart argues for potential reversal higher, the weekly chart shows a barrier of overhead resistance that must be broken before a reversal higher can take place.
It's a good example of how to incorporate two timeframes in real-time, so let's take a look at AMZN:

Keeping the description focused on combining two timeframes, the Daily Chart shows the … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Markets In Everything: Weed Whacking Golf Driver

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 05:37 AM PST

“This is the golf driver with a built-in grass trimmer, ideal for surreptitiously improving one’s lie. Destined for use by friendly foursomes that often find themselves in the rough, the club looks like an oversized driver that fits into any golf bag, yet a simple flick of a button on its plastic bottom flips open the club’s bottom to reveal a single-string trimmer.”

Rejecting The Keystone Pipeline: An Act Of Insanity

Posted: 24 Jan 2012 05:23 AM PST

From Robert Samuelson in the Washington Post:

“President Obama's rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico is an act of national insanity. It isn't often that a president makes a decision that has no redeeming virtues and — beyond the symbolism — won't even advance the goals of the groups that demanded it. All it tells us is that Obama is so obsessed with his reelection that, through some sort of political calculus, he believes that placating his … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards
