If you're following Fibonacci Retracements, these tools have worked well in finding price support during the recent sell-off.
Let's take a look at two short-term Fibonacci Retracement grids on the S&P 500 and note where these grids converge.
First, the shorter term hourly intraday grid:

Starting with the October 4th low, I've drawn a textbook grid to the recent October 27th high, and we see the resulting downward Fibonacci Retracement levels against the "October Rally."

Prologis Raised To Neutral

We have recently upgraded our recommendation for Prologis Inc. (PLD), a leading industrial real estate investment trust (REIT), to Neutral from Underperform as we anticipate it to perform in line with the broader market.
The change in recommendation is also driven by the fact that the company has reported strong third quarter 2011 results. Prologis reported third quarter 2011 fund from operations (FFO) of $0.45 per share compared with $0.48 in the year-earlier quarter. Hot Option Plays: Grind Continues

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner
I will have to be brief today because I am on the road traveling to the Las Vegas Traders Expo. The market looked weak early, Tech is weak right now, but Energy, XLE, Consumer Staples, XLP, and Industrials, XLI, are all out performing the S&Ps, SPY, that acts like the backbone for the market. There has not been much for either side to bite into, so I expect the grind to continue. I will be watching Euro/Dollar moves, the buck has been weakening into the Midday. See you After … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: Volatility Picks Up At The Close

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner
The major sectors are now right at support, SPY at 124, XLF at 12.75 and IWM right above 73. The Small Caps are most troubling, these higher beta stocks have for the first time been backing off resistance at 74. I will be watching the overnight trade, which after this late day pullback, could trigger even deeper uncertainty. This may potentially pressure out the weaker hands that were late to this most recent rally, potentially challenging support. Watch 1220 on the S&Ps. … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: The European Triangle

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner
In yesterday’s Corner I mentioned that the overnight session in the S&Ps could have some stress, the market took the S&Ps right to and through the level that I had my eye on at 1220. This is a critical challenge on the lower trendline, creating a technical pattern called a “Triangle”. With Spain’s bonds trading at a yield above 7%, there are still considerable questions on the EFSF capabilities to get the necessary funding. The market held this morning supported by all … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: Weakness Continued

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner
The weakness looked like it was going to continue early into the afternoon, the S&Ps finished the day off the worst levels, closed at 1206 which is near critical support. Tomorrow’s expiration may potentially add some additional volatility especially in the morning. The reality is that we will not really be able to get a good pulse until next week after expiration. All the rhetoric has to be monitored but with the most recent data, this has to be taken with a grain of salt. … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: Opening Advance Pushed Back

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’sCorner
The market this morning is tight both in range and volume. The shorts easily pushed back the opening advance, stopping the S&Ps at the mid 1220′s. While it is quiet on this expiration Friday, make sure that you are managing your November options. The market could pick up some potential volatility, so clean up your position risk for November and get ready for next week’s trade. The internals, meaning market breadth/VIX/Momentum, are still bullish. But what may be tempering … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: Some Sectors Held Up After A Rough Week

Posted: 22 Nov 2011 11:41 AM PST

Cusick’s Corner
The market held into the close, 1215 on the S&Ps, which does help the October advance stay intact in the medium term. When you look at sectors like Tech, QQQ/XLK, Consumer, XLY, Industrials, XLI, Finance, XLF, they are holding up after a rough week right at support. It’s a plus for the S&Ps to hold at this juncture, but I did not like seeing the Small Caps, IWM/RUT, break at resistance a lot harder than their Large Cap buddies. If the Small Caps lead a break, i.e. IWM … [visit site to read more] or compare Credit Card Rewards and Best Credit Cards

First, I want to apologize for the sporadic times that the newsletter has been going out, I have been on a crazy schedule and I will work on it. Third quarter GDP growth came in at 2.0% (2.5% on the first read). That is well below consensus expectations of 2.5% growth. That is still much better than as the 1.3% pace in the second quarter, and five times as fast as the anemic 0.4% pace in the first quarter.

Further, the quality of the growth was very good, as the change in inventories was a significant drag on growth.
