The S&P 500 – and general US Equities – have been mired in a two-months sideways trading range with clear upper and lower boundaries.
Though this week gave us a mean "Bear Trap," price returned within the parameters of the persistent trading range.

Monetary Policy Week In Review – 8 October 2011

The past week in monetary policy saw 12 central banks reviewing monetary policy settings, with 6 adjusting interest rates. Those that changed interest rates were: Albania -25bps to 5.00%, Uganda +400bps to 20.00%, Kenya +400bps to 11.00%, Vietnam +100bps to 15.00%, Serbia -50bps to 10.75%, and Rwanda +50bps to 6.50%. Those that held rates unchanged were: Australia 4.75%, Poland 4.50%, UK 0.50%, EU 1.50%, Peru 4.25%, and Japan 0.10%. True Strength Index (TSI) Indicator And E-mini S&P 500 Futures (ES)

A couple of days ago I dabbled with the E-mini S&P 500 futures (NYSE:ES) during my lunch hour at work and was fortunate to make $700+ in about an hour using my understanding of the True Strength Index (TSI) indicator. Yesterday produced a net (after commissions) gain of $410. Today my net gain was $568. A little of today’s earnings was earned before I had to get ready for work in the early pre-market, and the majority was earned during my lunch hour today.
