On Wednesday, Northern Trust Corporation (NASDAQ:NTRS) announced that it has priced its $500 million total principal amount of unsecured senior notes due in 2021.
Northern Trust sold the notes worth $500 million at a coupon rate of 3.375% and an issue price of $99.563. The notes will mature on August 23, 2021, yielding 3.427% with spread of 125 basis points higher than Treasuries. The interest will be paid semi-annually, with the first payment due on February 23, 2012.

Aesthetic products company Syneron Medical (NASDAQ:ELOS) has won the 510(k) clearance of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") to market its new Tanda Luxe Light Emitting Diode ("LED").
The new skin rejuvenation system has been approved by the regulator for over-the-counter ("OTC") treatment of periorbital (surrounding the eye) wrinkles, rhytides and fine lines. The Israel-based company plans to start marketing the device in the prestige retail market in the fourth quarter.

Gap Inc.'s (NYSE:GPS) second-quarter 2011 earnings of 35 cents per share declined 2.8% from last year's 36 cents per share, but were a penny ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate.

During the quarter, net sales edged up 2.0% to $3,386.0 million from $3,317.0 million in the year-ago quarter. Solid Revs Drive Salesforce’s 2Q

Salesforce.com Inc. (NYSE:CRM) reported second quarter fiscal 2012 adjusted net income of 6 cents per share, which was modestly ahead of the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 3 cents. The adjusted figure excludes amortization of intangibles and a debt discount, but includes stock-based compensation. The earnings beat came from solid top-line growth, partially offset by higher operating costs.

Forex Trading: USDCHF Moves Above Intraday Resistance. Dollar Better Bid

The USDCHF has moved above the 100 bar MA after two tests found sellers (see chart above).  The pair might be getting cold feet as the weekend approaches and threat of action from the SNB is a possibility.   It may just be Friday afternoon flows.
What we have seen, however, is a reversal from the dollar selling. The USDJPY has moved back above the 76.30 level (helped by reports of BOJ threats).
