Hot Option Plays: Big Ben Speaks

Cusick’s Corner
The GDP and the Fed comments are all built in and expected. Big Ben still not revealing the tools that they may use for future stimulus but what is now more apparent is that they are holding bullets very close to the vest. Hot Option Plays: Will This Rally Blow Over?

Posted: 29 Aug 2011 11:18 AM PDT

Cusick’s Corner
The market has continued to stay firm into the close and now looks setting up a potential challenge for upside next week. Looking at the S&Ps, I will be watching 1180 as a level that which would signal two things – the subsiding of the selling pressure and a breakout to the upside of the narrowing consolidation we have been experiencing. If we get some poor news out of the EU this weekend, the selling pressure could ramp and break the lower end of this narrowing channel – … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Hot Option Plays: Equities On The Move

Cusick’s Corner
There is a lot of money on the sidelines; risk is the play early in the new trading week. The leading sector is Finance, XLF, up almost 3% and is being led by the banks. This is an interesting move since Big Ben did not reveal any specific stimulus tools and the market took this speech (which coincidentally mirrored last year’s) as Stimulus is coming. But is it? I am not one to count on the stimulus. Technically the market is in challenge mode to the upside; specifically I am … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Balance Transfer Credit Cards
