USD/JPY Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

Posted: 06 Jul 2011 10:07 AM PDT

USD/JPY did very little on Wednesday, but this is absolutely no surprise as it hasn't done much over the last several weeks. Because of this, we have widened out our focus on this pair, and are waiting to see either 80 break down, or 82 get broken to the upside. The pair simply is moving far too little in order to risk our money at the moment.

USD/CHF Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

By ForexMansion.com

The USD/CHF fell on Wednesday, but only slightly. At the end of the day, we have a fairly wide range, showing that this area is a spot of confusion for the market. Although we are bearish in this pair, we don't like days like this in such a spot. Because of this, we are looking to sell at higher places. Selling rallies has worked so well in the past we see no real reason to change that strategy.

The USD/CAD pair rose on Wednesday, piercing the all-important 0.9650 area. The latter half of the session saw a pullback from above that area, and the day looks as if it is going to close right around the mark. Because of this, it shows that the pair had real trouble sustaining any move above the 0.9650 level, and this shows bearishness. We like selling rallies, and if we can get back below the above mentioned area on a convincing move.

The NZD/USD pair fell on Wednesday, as the world shrugged off the idea of taking on risk. The GBP/USD fell on Wednesday, and even managed to fall through the 1.60. However, we have already seen in the recent past that the support level goes all the way down to 1.59 – so this doesn't mean too much at this point. The pair has been choppy lately, and we are simply waiting to see if 1.59 can give way. If it does – we are long-term sellers.

The GBP/JPY fell on Wednesday, triggering the sell signal by the form of the shooting star at the 130 resistance level. The market did give up quite a bit of those losses towards the end of the session, and although that would be somewhat encouraging, it appears that rallies are still to be sold in this pair. At least until we can close on a daily candle above the 130 level.

The GBP/CHF pair fell hard on Wednesday, and even managed to pierce below the 1.34 level for a while. However, we did bounce back above that mark, and the daily candle almost formed a hammer of sorts. Because of this, it looks like a rally from here could be in the cards. We will not buy into it though, as rallies in this pair simply give the sellers better pricing for the next move down. Sell rallies – it has worked for years.

The EUR/USD fell again on Wednesday, slamming into the 1.43 handle. The market certainly looks bearish, and I even have a potential triangle on the chart, but there are so many different things going on at the same time in the EUR/USD, there is no shame in staying out of it. We think that the longer-term signal is going to be based off of the triangle we have drawn on the chart.

EUR/JPY Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

Posted: 06 Jul 2011 10:01 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

EUR/JPY fell hard on Wednesday, as traders continue to sell the Euro against everything else. Because of this, the relative safety of the Yen has been appealing. The pair looks set to test the 115 area, which should be supportive, all the way back to 113.50 or so. We don't like buying until we get much lower.

EUR/GBP Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

Posted: 06 Jul 2011 10:00 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The EUR/GBP fell hard for a third day in a row on Wednesday, dropping well below the 0.90 level. The 0.89 area looks like it could be supportive and we are currently looking to see if support holds in the form of a supportive daily candle. The trend is up, so seeing the price of this pair rise shouldn't be a major surprise. However, there is a lot of noise coming out of Europe lately and as such; you might even want to avoid holding the Euro at all.

EUR/CHF Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

The EUR/CHF fell hard on Wednesday, and even peaked through the bottom of the 1.20 handle. However, there was a slight bounce at the end of the day – pushing the market above that level, albeit slightly. The pair looks decidedly bearish at the moment, but selling isn't advised until we get a bounce. The last two days has covered a large amount of real estate.

AUD/USD Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

Posted: 06 Jul 2011 09:58 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The AUD/USD had a very flat day on Wednesday. The pair has been pulling back slightly as of late, and could be presenting a buying opportunity. The 1.07 area looks to be a magnet for price at the moment, and we think that the 1.05 to 1.07 area will prove to be massive support. We are willing to buy on supportive candles in this area.

AUD/NZD Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

By ForexMansion.com

The AUD/NZD pair had a very quiet day on Wednesday, as the market simply treads water in this area. We are sitting on our hands at the moment, and waiting for the 1.32 area to give way in order to buy this pair. If the 1.28 area can get broken to the downside, we would be sellers. Until then, there isn't much to do in the AUD/NZD pair.

Light Sweet Crude
The CL contract found itself fairly flat for the day on Wednesday, as it ran into serious resistance at the $97.50 level. However, it should be noted that the day started out bearish, and we had a bounced in the later hours. Because of this, it appears that the pressure is still to the long side. Buying on dips seems to be the correct route at the moment.

Natural Gas Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

The natural gas markets fell very hard on Wednesday, as traders sold off the market. The candle is long and red, but is also parked right above massive support. Because of this, although it looks very bearish, we are still very skeptical about selling this market. Tomorrow's candle should be telling and very important. The $4.20 level we sit at now has held like a rock, and we wouldn't be surprised to see that happen again.

Gold Technical Analysis For July 7, 2011

Posted: 06 Jul 2011 09:45 AM PDT

By CommoditiesMansion.com

The gold market rose again on Wednesday, and looks set to attempt a push towards the $1,550 area again. The issues in Europe certainly helps the idea of owning gold when there are potential sovereign defaults in the future. The $1,550 looks formidable, so we think that buying is the right way to go, but be ready to take profits on signs of weakness at that level.
