Housing Starts rose in June to a seasonally-adjusted annual rate of 629,000 from 549,000 in May, an increase of 14.6%.
However, the May numbers were revised lower from 560,000, so it is possible to see the increase as 69,000, or 12.3%. Relative to a year ago they are up 11.8%.
Quite frankly, a year ago was also a pretty lousy time for the home builders, so the rise is off a pretty easy comp. The EURUSD fell through the support at the 1.4182 level (trendline, remembered line and 38.2% of the NY surge higher) and sellers/profit taking sold.   Resistance now at 1.4183. Support at 1.4159 now.  This is the 38.2% of the days range.
The price is still up on the day.  The price bottomed against the 100 hour MA/200 hour MA earlier in the NY session.
