Confidence was put to the test this week. Broad markets are awaiting the release of the FOMC meeting minutes from the Federal Reserve later in the day, as BoE did not bring much new in its minutes released this morning.
BoE’s minutes showed that in May the MPC split four ways to maintain the current monetary policy with interest rates at 0.5% and the APF at 200 billion pounds, with the majority of five seeing the need to preserve the current policy.
