Is SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SMPH) In Trouble?

Posted: 04 May 2011 07:09 AM PDT

Are the bears about to take control of the shares of SM Prime Holdings, Inc. (SMPH)? I am confronted with this question now because it appears that SMPH is indeed primed (no pun intended) for a major correction in the near term.
In my opinion, there is a good chance that the bears might take over SMPH's driver seat. As you can see from the chart above, SMPH has rallied quite handsomely after hitting a low of just about PHP 10.00 from a high of PHP 13.16. The AUD/NZD hardly moved today, just like yesterday. The pair seems content to rest at this area, and should be – as the market has been so volatile over the last several weeks. This could serve as a launching point in one direction or another, but only time will tell which way. The next signal should be a large candle, be it green or red. The trend is decidedly up, so longs are preferred on the break out.

The NZD/USD fell today, but is still sitting at support. The pair needs to rest and pullback. This move could be the start of something like that, but anticipating that pullback has been very dangerous for quite some time. Looking for pullbacks as entry signals will be the safer play, as the 0.78 and 0.75 levels seems like great buying areas. For the time being, I would leave this pair alone.

USD/JPY Technical Analysis For May 4, 2011

This area could be a launching point for new buyers as we try to race upwards with a possible new bull move, or at least a consolidative move towards 84. Shorting isn't advised as we have central banks below, and at least 6 of them. The market looks to be supportive, and a break of the highs today would be a buy signal.
