Losing Faith (In The U.S. Economy)

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 07:56 AM PDT

Are the American people losing faith in the U.S. economy? The statistics that you are about to read might surprise you. Not everyone believes that the U.S. economy is dying (there are still millions out there that will swallow anything that the mainstream media tells them), but the reality is that there is a growing chunk of the population that has completely lost faith in our leaders and in our economic system. A brand new Gallup poll has found that the number of Americans that … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Balance Transfer Credit Cards

Stocks have not been showing a lot of concern for the loss of momentum in the economy as indicated by Thursday’s GDP report. Driving the market’s optimism is this view that the first-quarter slowdown was due to temporary factors that will reverse in the coming quarters.

The USD/JPY pair fell today, and is currently trying to figure out is the 81.50 area can continue to hold the sellers at bay. This pair is by far the weakest of the yen-related pairs, and should be lowest on your list of yen trades. The bias should still be considered up, as there are central banks waiting below here. This market will take a back seat to AUD/JPY, GBP/JPY, and NZD/JPY.

EUR/USD Technical Analysis For April 29, 2011

The EUR/USD rose today, but started to sell off later in the session. Because of this, it is forming a bit of a shooting star, which is bearish. We should stress that the market is looking like a pullback is possible, not a meltdown. Selling isn't advised, but if you are long already – it might be time to tighten your stops.

The NZD/USD is currently trading water in the 0.80 neighborhood, and area that will undoubtedly be vital to the future direction of this pair. Obviously, this has been a strong bull market – but it has also been parabolic. Look for a pullback to come sometime soon, and then start looking for support at the 0.78 and 0.75 areas. Buying down there is certainly easier than buying all the way up here. AUD/USD Technical Analysis For April 29, 2011

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 06:09 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The AUD/USD rose today again, and continues to show massive strength in the face of a parabolic move. The market is getting overbought now, and is ripe for a pullback. The pullback will only be a buying opportunity though, as a trend change isn't very likely with the US dollar not being defended by the Federal Reserve. 1.05 and 1.02 are both expected to be strong support areas if we fall there. Buying up at these levels is risky at best.

EUR/CHF Technical Analysis For April 29, 2011

Posted: 29 Apr 2011 06:05 AM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The EUR/CHF did absolutely nothing today, confirming our opinion that this market looks stale at best. The 1.30 mark needs to be broken on a daily close in order to get involved with buying this pair. The downside looks well protected by the 1.27 area as well. Because of this, the best we can hope for is a range bound scalper's market between those two areas. In the meantime, we are at the top of that range.

Natural Gas continues to pound against resistance at the $4.40 mark, looking to break above the $4.50 area. Once that happens, more buyers will certainly be attracted to the market. Because of this, we are in a "wait and see" kind of pattern here, as selling could take over as well. The $4.50 will be key for more bullish action. If we break lower, $4.00 should be supportive.

USD/CAD Technical Analysis For April 29, 2011

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 11:39 PM PDT

By ForexMansion.com

The USD/CAD rose today, and is forming a hammer which shows possible strength at these levels. The supportive action at 0.95 is continuing to be impressive, although it isn't expected to hold over the long run. The market looks like a bounce is likely, and sellers will certainly be excited on any opportunities to sell at higher levels. If we break higher, look for weakness at 0.97 to sell, and if we break lower, the pair is a sell on new lows.
