AUD NZD Forecast For March 14, 2011

Posted: 12 Mar 2011 02:37 AM PST

By ForexMansion.com

The AUD/NZD popped over the 1.35 level, and retested an area just north of that number on Friday. The candle that was printed was a hammer, and it is on strong support – a classic break and retest of an important area.
Longs can put there stops below the 1.35 area, and let this trade run towards 1.38 and then probably the psychologically important area of 1.40 as well. Any break below 1.35 would signal weakness, but there are so many support areas below there – shorting … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

AUD USD Forecast For March 14, 2011

Posted: 12 Mar 2011 02:36 AM PST

By ForexMansion.com

This pair has found support yet again at the 1.0000 level, and is certainly a buy only pair at this point. This is mainly because of the supportive nature of 1.0000 and how is has been so strong for support.
The triangle is still intact, and 1.02 seems to be the key level to watch for bullish trades at the moment. A break of 1.02 sends us to 1.09 eventually, and a break of 1.0000 will find far too many places for support underneath to get involved … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Forex Weekly Outlook – March 7, 2011 Through March 11, 2001

Posted: 12 Mar 2011 02:36 AM PST

By ForexMansion.com
This past week was a strong week for the dollar as the Euro was overwhelmed by weakness on the periphery and the Pound lost some luster after the BOE kept interest rates unchanged.  The dollar index gained more than a big figure as the Yen also was less than stellar after a worse than expected GDP revision on Thursday.  The earthquake that hit Japan on Friday, will have immediate ramifications for the Yen, as the BOJ will meet on Monday, to explain how they will … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Earthquake Rocks Japan and Yen Moves Higher
China, the world’s second largest economy, reported a slew of economic data.  Activity and growth appears to be leveling off and price pressures may have begun stabilizing.
One of the key issues has been inflation and February CPI came in at 4.9%, the same as in January and a bit higher than the “leaks” in the local press.  The other key is retail sales which rose 11.6% on a year-over-year basis, matching the … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Stock Market Summary For Friday, March 11, 2011

Posted: 11 Mar 2011 08:53 PM PST

After suffering strong losses yesterday the market gained today to recover some of its losses. Howver, stocks did not give a clear indication that investors were once again buying stocks. Market breadth was ok. Keeping with the markets pace we are raising the support/resistance levels on the DJIA, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite (see below). The DJIA and S&P 500 were able to close above their respective 50-day moving averages. The Nasdaq Composite remains below its 50-day moving average. … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

The Public Choice Lesson Of Margarine. “I Can’t Believe It Wasn’t Legal To Sell Yellow Margaine”

Posted: 11 Mar 2011 05:34 PM PST

The Wikipedia entry below on Margarine provides an excellent public choice lesson on rent-seeking by a special interest group that uses (hijacks?) the political process to enact legislation to protect that group (in this case the dairy industry) from the competition of more efficient or lower-cost rivals (in this case the margarine industry).  In this example, both of the groups are domestic producers (dairy and margarine), but the lesson would be exactly the same if it was the U.S. … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates
