The Simple Truth About Gold Leverage Programs

Posted: 04 Feb 2011 11:55 AM PST

A lot of people ride motorcycles, but there’s a reason most don’t try to be Evel Knievel. Sure, there’s a big reward if you can land a jump over 14 school buses – but what if you don’t?

A new craze among our competitors is to push gold buyers into “leveraged accounts.” In one of these accounts, the dealer lends you money to buy gold, on the assumption that gold will go up faster than the rate of interest on the loan. In other words, if you call with $5K, they’ll give you another $20K … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

The Individual Mandate In The Health Care Bill: Let’s Trade The Broccoli And Asparagus For Hot Dogs And Apple Pie

The Republican-led house vote to repeal the new health care law is purely symbolic. But there's one provision of the law that Republicans are likely to try to defund, and they may have the public with them on this. It's the so-called "individual mandate" – the requirement that everyone purchase health insurance, or pay a fine. According to a recent poll, 60 percent of the public opposes it. Vicor Technologies (VCRT)  -  Our 2011 Preview

While 2010 ended up being somewhat of a disappointment for Vicor from a revenue perspective, we are optimistic that this will not be repeated in 2011.  We look for approximately 50 units placed through the end of 2010 but for this to significantly accelerate through 2011 (we model an installed base of 230 units at FYE 2011).  We believe several catalysts will fuel this more rapid placement rate during 2011 … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

The economy added a total of 36,000 jobs in January. That is far below consensus expectations for a gain of 148,000. The small increase is particularly disappointing relative to the numbers put out on Wednesday by ADP that showed a gain of 187,000 private sector jobs.

Government payrolls declined by 14,000 and the private sector added a total of 50,000. The consensus was looking for a decline of 15,000 Government jobs and thus also for a gain of 163,000 private sector jobs.
