Total Industrial Production was rose 0.8% in December, which was double the expected 0.4% increase. In November, total production increased by 0.3%, reversing a 0.1% decline in October. The November production increase was revised down from a 0.4% increase, but the October decline was previously reported to be -0.2%, so count the revisions as a wash.
