Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA Inc., an insurance unit of  Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE:WFC) announced the acquisition of Prestige Professional Plans on Wednesday. Based in Dayton, Ohio, the acquired entity is an employee benefits insurance brokerage firm.
Wells Fargo closed the acquisition on December 1, 2010, but the requisites of the transaction were not disclosed.

As Massey Energy Company (NYSE:MEE) struggles to recover from the deadly mine incident that occurred in April 2010, the company's sales and earnings have been decelerating putting the forecast to shame. After posting disappointing results for the past three quarters, the company signaled that its sales volumes for the fourth quarter and fiscal 2010 have settled below the projected guidance. The company also expects to post an operating loss yet again in this year-end quarter.

Constellation Brands Beats

Constellation Brands (NYSE:STZ) net income soared to $139.3 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2011, compared to $44.1 million the prior-year quarter. Excluding special items, adjusted earnings per share came in at 66 cents per share, surpassing both the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 62 cents and the year-ago earnings by 22%.

CHF/JPY Can Accelerate To 85.00 Below 85.70; Might Retrace To Test 86.50 First

1H: CHF/JPY saw a strong bullish candle after testing 85.70, touching the 200SMA in the 4H chart. This is also coincident with testing a rising support. A break below 85.70 then should see acceleration to 85.00, especially since it showed such strength (a place below which stops may be placed for a long position).
On the upside, the current rally can test the 86.50 area (38.2% retracement, and a pivot from Dec 31.)

Lunar Cycle Update – Again

Thankfully, if you’re a bull, the moon just can’t get those Waxing phases with a 50% correct call as the market grew 2.44% when it should have been declining …. according to the theory. Since we’ve been lucky enough to be in a bull market, the Waning phase is holding its own with 10 out 12 hits (an 83.3% accuracy). 1H: EUR/JPY might be oversold ahead of the NFP even though it is not a USD-cross, the NFP will send ripples in forms of risk sentiment. The Euro is also weak in particular, so further bearish anticipation has to be in back of you mind.
The market is held above 108.00, and should test the 108.50 level. A rally to 38.2% would be near 108.70.
This is a very quick window. The market is seeing dojis, and may be taking a break, allowing a bit of a correction.
