The only data point worth the candle today is US non farm payrolls. After the monster ADP number Weds it has disappointed, coming in at just plus 103k. But to confuse matter the unemployment rate dropped by more than expected to 9.4% (due to the different methodology used i.e. half of this is due to a decline in the participation rate  which is a negative & half due to household employment gains which is of course positive).

In a disappointing nonfarm payroll report for December, fewer than expected jobs were created. The 'miss' was particularly striking given the many other reports that were pointing otherwise. On the positive side, the originally reported numbers for the prior two months were revised upwards and the unemployment rate unusually ticker lower.
