Turned Down For Loans Despite Good Credit Score

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:35 AM PST

The US mortgage market hasn’t been kind to consumers especially in recent times since the Great Recession that started in 2008. In the past, mortgage lenders were desperate for your business, regardless of your credit score and income. Those open arms have become somewhat closed, amid mounting foreclosures and people’s inability to pay their monthly mortgage.

Since the unraveling of the sub-prime housing crisis, many Americans have been turned down for home loans despite having a good or … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Outlook For Commodities Remains Positive

Posted: 08 Dec 2010 07:28 AM PST

With news of a compromise on extending the Bush tax cuts, recent strength in the U.S. dollar, and signals from China it may raise interest rates, it is a good time to check on the health of weak-dollar assets, such as commodities (DBC). Commodities, especially hard commodities like copper (JJC) and gold (GLD), are often used as a way to protect purchasing power during periods where concerns about future inflation are elevated.

In general, commodities tend to have a tailwind when … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Trading Ideas
With Copper supplies expected to remain tight going into 2011, some traders may wish to explore buying bull spreads in Copper futures. An example of this trade would be buying March 2011 Copper and selling September 2011 Copper. Currently, March Copper is trading at a 0.0335 premium to the September contract. Buyers of the bull spread would want to see this March premium widen even further.
