It's no secret that the U.S. is borrowing too much, that China manipulates its currency and that Europe's fiscal troubles are growing at the same time that "the luck of the Irish" is running out. There does not seem to be any international political will to cooperate to rectify any of these imbalances.

The G-20 meeting in Seoul, South Korea, achieved nothing to improve global imbalances and end the currency conflicts.

Monetary Policy Review For The Week Ended 20 November, 2010

Over the past week the central banks of Colombia, Philippines, South Africa, Chile, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, and South Korea all announced monetary policy decisions. The main standouts were interest rate increases by Chile +25bps, and Korea +25bps, as rising activity levels and inflation risks played through. While the central banks of South Africa -50bps, and Rwanda -100bps both loosened policy settings in order to support the economic recovery and spur lending.

Spectacular action from Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL) shares, after the earnings report was released. The technical chart gives a clearer picture. Big bullish candle on very good volumes indicating buying. The last two weeks fall has formed a bullish flag and Friday’s candle has given a breakout from this flag. This is very bullish and the stock is expected to resume the uptrend. A cross of $21 level is desired to get confirmation.
