Posted: 23 Nov 2010 08:35 AM PST

This is essentially a repost of the report I posted when the original estimates for GDP growth came out on October 27th. I have put the new revised contributions to (or drags on) growth in bold, with the original numbers immediately following in parenthesis. This will allow you to immediately see where the change is coming from, as well as how the third quarter was different from the first and second quarters.

Overall, this was a positive report, but we still need to see the economy grow … [visit site to read more] or compare Best Credit Cards and Best CD Rates

Bonds Rise As Defensive Play

Posted: 23 Nov 2010 08:20 AM PST

Today’s Idea
It appears that this recent upswing in Bond prices has been driven by short-covering and shorter-term defensive plays, but the prospects of long-term price appreciation do not appear to be great at the moment.
