In the Financial Times, Amartya Sen calls for economic sanctions on Burma to be reshaped in order to isolate the regime instead of the Burmese people. Over at the Guardian, Tom McNally states that human rights will not suffer under the coalition government, although he adds that there will be a review of the way that rights are protected in the UK. Finally, after Ireland accepted the terms of its financial bailout, Sean O'Grady of the Independent speculates that Portugal and Spain will be the next to go.
