Tax Gains Posted: 09 Oct 2010 11:25 AM PDT PROVIDENCE — “The amount of money the state pulls in from taxes has increased for three consecutive months — further evidence that Rhode Island's economy has begun to turn the corner, Governor Carcieri said Thursday. For the three months ended Sept. 30, overall state tax revenue is up about 10.4 percent, or $54 million, compared with the same period a year ago, according to preliminary state estimates.
