Like gold, the price of silver has recently marked a new all-time high when it broke above its previous high at 21.34. As you can see, a break out from a symmetrical pattern managed to propel it towards the uncharted territory. With its uptrend line still well intact, it would most likely continue to to head north. | Analyst Interviews: U.S. Railroad Industry Outlook Posted: 03 Oct 2010 04:05 PM PDT An improving U.S. economy, massive surge in automotive shipments, and a sharp rebound in many end-markets are expected to fuel the future growth of the railroad industry. Freight rail is a "derived demand" industry — demand for rail services is tied to the demand for the products that railroads haul. Rail traffic, therefore, acts as a solid barometer of the overall health of the economy. With the U.S. economy emerging from the recession, the fortunes of the railroad industry are also on … [visit site to read more] |

This is a "magic 50 index" where any reading over 50 indicates that the manufacturing side of the economy is expanding, and any reading under 50 indicates a contraction in manufacturing. The overall index has now been above the “magic 50″ mark for 14 … [visit site to read more] |
