While it is well known to the oil industry that the ongoing drilling moratorium will continue through the end of this November, the Obama administration may lift it a little earlier. The Interior Department is set to release new regulations/guidelines for deepwater drilling anytime soon.

GM To Invest In Baltimore Plant

General Motors (MTLQQ) a.k.a GM has announced its plan to invest $23.5 million in its Baltimore Transmission Plant in order to boost its electric vehicle components. This comes on top of the automaker's announcement in January to invest $246 million at the Baltimore site to build electric motors for hybrids.

EQT’s Marcellus Well Updates

Pittsburgh-based EQT Corporation (NYSE:EQT), an integrated energy company focused on natural gas supply in Appalachia, yesterday disclosed results of its two Marcellus shale wells.
 
In Greene County, the Cooper 590384 well produced at a rate of 22 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMcfe/d) for an average 30-day period.
