Meanwhile, in the Guardian, Anshel Pfeffer has been looking further afield, suggesting that Obama needs to lay down some hard truths for both the Israelis and the Palestinians. Over at the New York Times, Nicholas Kristof suggests that the UN needs to market itself better to encourage nations to continue the fight against poverty. Finally in the Evening Standard, Justin Cartwright writes that the Commonwealth Games used to be about fraternity and identity, now they are just about money. At the same time in the Times, William Dalrymple suggests that the Commonwealth fiasco may be the catalyst needed to start tackling India's serious corruption problem.
