Chances are, it’s saying that consumers know better than the official statistics about what’s really going on in the U.S. economy. |
Intrade Odds Now 70%: Republicans To Take House Posted: 13 Aug 2010 04:25 PM PDT I’m not sure exactly what happened, but Intrade odds surged today by 7.5% to a 69.9% chance that the Republicans will control the House after the November … [visit site to read more] |
Problem With New Blogger Comment Spam Filter Posted: 13 Aug 2010 02:11 PM PDT Blogger recently added some kind of new spam filter for comments, and some of your comments with links (e.g. from Walt G. and Juandos) have been automatically sent to a special spam area that requires moderation. Posted: 13 Aug 2010 12:05 PM PDT We are upgrading our recommendation for Conmed Corp (NASDAQ:CNMD) to Neutral following its better-than-expected quarterly results and our improved visibility on the stock. Second-quarter fiscal 2010 revenues and earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate. Profit skyrocketed year over year (a five-fold growth), boosted by forecast-beating top-line growth and cost synergies from the company’s ongoing restructuring initiatives. |
Posted: 13 Aug 2010 12:05 PM PDT Nordstrom Inc. (NYSE:JWN) posted an earnings growth of 37.5% to 66 cents a share in the second quarter of fiscal 2010 versus 48 cents in the year-ago period. Earnings per share matched the Zacks Consensus Estimate for the quarter. Earnings for the quarter resonated with strong sales and customers' response to its merchandize and services. |
Doom-and-Gloom Hasn’t Hit The Containers Market Posted: 13 Aug 2010 11:48 AM PDT “The first half was a crackling good start to the year, so why all the worry? As Neptune Orient Lines' Ron Widdows somewhat triumphantly commented on Aug. 6 in announcing a $100 … [visit site to read more] |
